BIG tension for Pakistan as Russia blasts Pakistani daily for spreading…, what is ‘Russophobic’ Western propaganda?

Russia Blasts Pakistani Daily: Seems like Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s effort to strengthen ties with Russia involves inherent challenges as the Russian Embassy in Pakistan has slammed the Pakistani daily, The Frontier Post, over publishing a ‘series of anti-Russian articles’. The embassy accused the Peshawar-based newspaper of promoting ‘Western propaganda’ against Moscow. The Russian Embassy also highlighted that The Frontier Post has its global news service headquarters in Washington, hinting that Islamabad is publishing anti-Russian articles at the behest of the US.

PM Shehbaz Sharif Called For Strengthening Islamabad’s Ties With Russia

This has come at a time when Pakistan is trying to strengthen its bilateral ties with Russia. On September 2, PM Sharif met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing and stated that Pakistan respects Moscow’s relations with India and wants similar ties. The two leaders held the meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.
